The Museum of Fine Arts exhibits a collection of Cuban Art from the colonial period to the most contemporary artists. It also hosts temporary exhibits showing the most recent trends and movements in the island.

This museum shows a very comprehensive collection of universal art, which includes paintings, sculptures, drawings and archaeological findings belonging to Ancient and European Art from the XV to the XIX centuries, as well as collections from Asian and American artists.

The Museum of the Revolution exhibits a big collection of objects, weapons and means of transport related to the revolutionary period in Cuba. On the premises, one can see the Granma Memorial, and the historic yacht standing out right in the centre.

This museum offers an interesting memorabilia collection belonging to Cuba´s Apostle´s life and works as well as the history of the building itself. The tower leads to a look-out post which is the tallest in the city, allowing for mangnificent views.

This magnificent house, former Palace of the Captain General, seat of the Spanish Government until 1889 and of the President of the Republic until 1920 is now home to various collections of Colonial Art and History. Among its main attractions, one can find the Room of the Throne, all set for the visit of the Spanish King; objects belonging to the Independance Wars, collections of sculptures, tableware, furniture, etc. The building acts as activity center to the office of the City Historian, Mr. Eusebio Leal Spengler.

The fortress of San Carlos de La Cabaña and Castillo de los Tres Reyes Magos del Morro completed Havana´s defensive system during the colonial period. These days, La Cabaña is home to the ´Canon Ceremony´, a tradition that takes place every single day at 9.00pm, allowing us to travel back in time to the colonial years, when this canon shot used to announce that it was time to close the City Walls.
